In my application, whenever I add a document, It becomes a link and I click the link to open the document. I recorded with a document and it worked when I ran the script. Now I changed the document and QTP clicked on the corresponding link it throws an error saying that the object is not found. I tried adding the object to the OR then it worked. But I can't manually add the object whenever I add a new document. Is there any ways for QTP to add the new object whenever it is created? I am using QTP 9.5
in your object repository you need to pick the properties that will allow you to uniquely identify the object at run time. If this can not be done you can use Regular expressions to help you try to match the object. Please see the tutorial that comes with QTP95 on DP.
Do a search in the help file for:
Entering Programmatic Descriptions Directly into Statements
Using Description Objects for Programmatic Descriptions
Is there anywhere I can see an example of what you are referring to?
We are having trouble seeing the current value of web objects because the Object Repository is not updated during the course of the script executing.
We are only seeing the initial value of objects, when the object properties (ie. "inntertext") change during execution we are not able to access the current object value. The initial object value is returned instead.
