Hi, I have a weird issue with QTP 9.5.
UAT : Windows Client app developed in C++
I have a small dialog which has some buttons and editboxes and there is a groupBox around the editboxes and buttons.
I can run my existing scripts fine on Windows 2000 machine. But when I try to run them on Windows XP they failed.
The failure is QTP Object Spy cannot detect any objects inside the groupBox. It can only see the groupBox it cannot see anything inside it.
Itís the same AUT I donít now whats the difference it makes from XP to 2000. When talked to the dev team they couldnít understand what it is?
Another thing is when I use spy++ to spy spy++ can see the objects fine.
Anybody has similar issue. Your suggestions or inputs would be of great help.

I just want to add some thing. On XP machine I tried to record lets say click on a button inside the groupBox and the button opens a dialog, close the dialog.
It recorded fine like
But when I run it gives the error "Object not visible".
So it can see the buttons while recording but cannot see them during the run time.
You are opening the AUT after QTP is opened? Try a clean re-install of QTP on the XP box.

Hi Scott, Thanks for the response. This is not just happening on one machine. Its happening on all the XP Machines. All the 2000 machines are working fine. I am opening AUT from QTP. So AUT gets launched after QTP opened.
