I encounter a issue in using regular expression in flight application. The scenario I have recorded is as follows:
1. Start Recording
2. File open order: order no:10
3. File Fax order : enter Fax no:1212121212
4. Stop recording
5. Chnage order no as 15 in script
6. Change in OR Fax Order No. 10 as Fax Order No. 6.*
If you want to open Fax Order No. 15, why are you leaving the 10 in the regular expression?
I will assume you are changing the recognition property in the OR, otherwise what you're doing won't work. And in the Value Configuration Opetions popup (in the OR) you are making sure to check the "Regular expression" checkbox, right?
(I say I am assuming this, but it doesn't look like you are doing this at all).
So maybe I should back up a bit.
Are you trying to use this Regular Expression to change how QTP recognizes your object so that if the property of the object changes at runtime, QTP will still recognize it?
Or are you actually just trying to tell QTP to put a different value (a 15 instead of a 10) into a field when it plays back?
