    environment value in checkpoint

    Sorry if this has be asked before, couldn't find anything with my search.

    Let's say I want to use a checkpoint for "Client 1/ Fund 1"

    I am loading few variables from an environment file. I want to use the client name (Client 1) that is loaded from env variable and I want to append "Fund 1". But looking at QTP checkpoint setting, I don't see any way to do the append part. I can load either the env variable or the string.
    Does anyone know how to load the env variable and append a string to that?

    Re: environment value in checkpoint

    You will need to use customized checkpoint here in this case.

    Ex:
    myString = "Fund 1"&Environment.Value("Fund Name")
    If B().P().WebList("blah").GetRoProperty("blah") = myString Then
    Msgbox "Passed"
    Else
    Msgbox "Failed'
    End If

    Re: environment value in checkpoint

    Thanks for your reply TReddy.
    The checkpoint has few rows of data to check and "Client 1/ Fund 1" is one of the cells in those rows. I guess I will have to customize the entire checkpoint then if its not feasible from QTP checkpoint settings.

    Actually tjgomes, once you start customizing your checkpoints, you will find out how much more useful and manageable custom checkpoints are and pretty soon you will never use a QTP checkpoint again.

    I don't.
