I am facing the Surprising issue related to the "web List".
Scenario:- I am having a "weblist" with three Items.
1. First Item := Blank
2. Second Item := NewModem
3. Third item := No New Modem
I selected the choice "New modem" and click the button "Apply" with "Manual" operation.
The page is get refreshed and the weblist is appeared with the same selected item as "New Modem".
I performed the same operation with the "Qtp Script" but after Selecting the "Apply" button again the page is get refreshed but surprisingly the list box is get selected with "Blank" instead of "new modem".
I suspect that your WebList defaults to blank. So if you don't do anything with it, when you refresh the page, it will show that you selected blank even though you really didn't select anything at all.
So, maybe something is going wrong with your script and even though you think you're telling it to select "New Modem" it really is not selecting anything at all.
One little debugging trick that might help you to see what is happening is to just put a Wait 30 after your line that selects "New Modem". You won't want to keep it there forever, but jut put it there and run it once. Watch your application, and when it reaches the Wait statement, check your app to see if "New Modem" was really selected or not. If not, then you need to find a new way to record or create that part of your script so that it really does select New Modem. Then don't forget to remove that unnecessary Wait statement when you no longer need it.
