Is it possible to run a QTP script thru a web page
Is it possible to run a QTP Script thru a webpage. I mean, is it possible to enter the location of an input file on a webpage, and then push a button, that would automatically run the script and display the test results? Please advice!
Re: Is it possible to run a QTP script thru a web page
Yes, you can execute a QTP script from a www page. To give an example, the following two lines can be placed in a script in a web page, and they will execute the file "batchfile" and pass param1-5 to it.
WshShell = new ActiveXObject("WScript.Shell");
WshShell.Run (batchfile + " " + param1 +" " + parm2 + " " + param3 + " " + param4 + " " +param5,1,true);
The batch file can then call a .vbs file that starts qtp, opens a script, and runs it. See "Automating QuickTest Operations" in the QTP help for examples.
