Recently I faced one problem with .net object where .rowcount method for swftable testobject was returning total row count and I was interested in vesible row count.
I then searched on net and found a solution which uses runtime property 'rowcount' which returns collection of row.
I was bit surprized to see that rowcount is a runtime 'property' but it reurns a collection object..
I have had look at this property while checking runtime methods but then ignored it as I never though that it would return collection of rows.
What I want to know is ,is there any proper documentation/help available for all runtime menthods/properties.eg QTP has help and examples for testobject methods ,where can I find such details for runtime objects. I am working with .net application so is it msdn?
Please help as it would help a lot..as It is difficult to make out which runtime method does what..
The runtime properties of an object are not the province of QTP. You should look to the documentation for the programming language in question.
For example, visit the MSDN website for VB object runtime properties, etc.
Basically, to learn what is and is not possible with runtime events, properties, and methods, you would use the same resources your developers use when they need to look something up when they're writing the code in the first place.
