    HWND Value

    Hi;

    I am getting the strange value of "HWND" on the given below code.

    Code:-

    Set IE = Createobject("Internetexplorer.application")

    IE.VISIBLE=TRUE
    'get hwnd property at run time
    Iehwnd = IE.hwnd

    msgbox iehwnd

    ie.navigate2 "www.google.com"

    browser("hwnd:="&iehwnd).page("title:=.*").web edit("name:=q").Set "SUNIL123456"

    If I comment the "ie.navigete" stmt then I am getting the Correct value of hwnd as per the browser.

    But while uncommented the given statement..I am getting the wrong HWND.

    Plz suggest.

    Thax;
    Sunil.

    Re: HWND Value

    You can use the below statements to get run time hwnd property:

    Make sure all browser windows are closed before running this script.

    Dim hwndValue
    Set IE =Createobject("InternetExplorer.Application")
    IE.Visible=TRUE
    IE.Navigate2 "www.google.com"
    hwndValue = Browser("micclass:=Browser", "creationtime:=0").getroproperty("hwnd")
    msgbox "Value of HWND is " & hwndValue

    Re: HWND Value

    If you are using Descriptive Programming you cannot get the Test Object Property. DP will only return the RO property.
