    Giving Share Permissions to a Folder

    Hi,

    Please let me know how to make a Folder shared(eg.G:\Temp\Results) in QTP.

    Appreciate your quick Response!

    net share tmp="D:\Results"
    Used this command earlier and the issue with this command is that when we try to share an existing folder it gives
    "The name has already been shared"

    If a newfolder is craeted and this new folder is shared consequently then the folder can be successfulyl shared using this command

    Please help!

    The problem is with the "tmp" share name, not with the folder you try to share. The share name must be unique for all shared resources.

    net share tmp="D:\Results"

    my reqt is to report the file path as "\\"&Environment.Value("LocalHostName")&"\ "&"Results\"
    but when I use this command to share the folder i cant see the Results Folder but only the tmp in m/c's share.

    Pls let me know a way to see the hsared files in "\\"&Environment.Value("LocalHostName")&"\ "&"Results\"
