Hopefully someone has seen this before and knows how to get around it. When I open QTP it starts to load the application and then the system hangs for a minute and then the screen refreshes and it appears like I've booted up in windows Safe Mode. In order to clear the video settings I have to reboot the machine. Any ideas?
It's version 9.2. I'm seeing the error just opening QTP. I'm going to try updating the video driver as NoUse4aName suggested. I am using a Dell desktop so that very well could be the issue. I'll advise how it went. Thanks!
I would concur. We had a similar issue with QTP 9 running on IBM Lenovo. As soon as a script was run the display went to what I can only describe as scrambled colors. We had to do a hard reset to get the computer up and running. We ended up installing different video cards and disabling the on board video. Since then IBM has updated their video drivers so we no longer have that problem. If the updated driver does not work I'd suggest you change video cards. Please reply if the updated driver does the trick!
