Diff. between Activate and Trigger
In Recovery scenario, we have trigger like (object state, pop-up,etc).
Also, while we include in that qrs to our test, we have an option like Activate (like on after every line, on error, never).
What is the activate option means?
how it is different from trigger esp. between the activate option "on error" vs trigger option "Test run error".
Re: Diff. between Activate and Trigger
Those are 2 different things.
1. What is the trigger for the scenario to run - You need to define the trigger on the recovery scenario (pop-up, Object wasn't identified etc).
2. When you add you recovery scenario to your test you need to define what will run this recovery scenario, by activating it that means that it will run and will check for example if there is object that wasn't identified and in case there is (like you defined in your recovery scenario) it will perform the operation you defined .
I can' t think of a user that i know that use the first option since this is abuse for other purposes of this mechanism and cause degradation in performance.
I hope that it did answer your Q.
