    DB2: Any idea on how to access BLOB data type(DB)

    Hello Dear,

    As mentioned by Rajkumar this code works fine for Oracle but i am facing the problem in db2.

    set oCon = CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
    Set oRs = CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")
    set mstream = CreateObject("ADODB.Stream")
    mstream.Type = 1 'adTypeBinary
    sql="select Data_Value from WLI_QS_REPORT_DATA where colval =abc"
    vuid="*******"
    vpwd="****"
    pstr="Provider=ibmdadb2; Data Source=QA2; User id="&vuid&"; Password=" &vpwd &";"

    oCon.Open pstr
    oRs.open sql,oCon

    mstream.Open
    mstream.Write oRs("Data_Value")
    mstream.SaveToFile "c:\test.xml", 2 'adSaveCreateOveWrite , also tried
    mstream.close

    I am facing the same problem while connecting to the db2 database.
    I have tried the code you have mentioned above.
    But I am getting a run time error on the line when i am writing the response.

    Error Description:
    Arguments are of the wrong type, are out of acceptable range, or are in conflict with one another.

    Please suggest me some solution.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Tarun,

    I am getting error while writing using stream object:
    mstream.Write oRs("Data_Value")

    "Arguments are of the wrong type, are out of acceptable range, or are in conflict with one another"

    Please suggest some solution.

    Regards,
    Abhishek
