In one of our AUT, we have a windows dialog. It has a text area within that there are some links available. QTP is not able to identify the 'Links' or the parent text area. It identifies the entire object as WinObject, which is of native class 'RICHEDIT'.
Please find the screenshot attached to get more information. The object marked in 'Red' is identified as 'WinObject' and the 'Link' marked in 'Green' is the object which we want to click at.
Can someone help us in resolving this issue at the earliest?
i am sure this is not a web application in which you are working on.
so this is a windows application, and which is using rich text box as a control,
you need to have QTP plugings depending upon in which technology this has been developed.
e.g. if its developed in .net, you need to have .net plugin installed in your QTP.
Dear friend... This is the same code we got... But our scenario is we have a number of 'LINKS' inside the edit with same text(i mean link name). IN QTP there is no Windows link or some other kind of object available. Thats where we are looking for a solution to proxy those links to any known class.
