Re: New Patch - Fix Corrupted File Causing QTP Cra
Any update on this Roy? Patch is still unavailable on the website.
I submitted a support case for a problem I believe is related. It's a problem loading tests stored in QC, repairing QTP's installation fixes the problem temporarily, so it appears to be a corruption issue as well. Ironically, I received a 404 error on the thankyou page for the support request...
Re: New Patch - Fix Corrupted File Causing QTP Crash
We have been experiencing frequent 'crashes' using QTP 10.0 and the Flex plugin. 'Crashes' occur when replaying a recorded script and result in the 'unhandled win32 exception' pop up.
After poking around in the debugger it appears an ASSERT or DebugBreak has been triggered (i.e the exception is a result of executing an 'int 3' instruction. The call occurs at offset 0x4984 in the text section of TEAPluginQTP.dll and is the result of a failed test of some kind, so it looks like some unrecoverable error has been checked for and detected. Since the dll is stripped I can't be more specific.
Does this ring any bells? Is there any chance this patch will fix the problem?
I'm new here, so if I can provide better or more information please let me know.
