QTP 10 vs QTP 9.x, Is playback in 10 slow?

I upgraded from 9.2 to 9.5 about 2 months ago, and all in all 9.5 has been pretty decent. Today I upgraded to 10.0 and I have to say I am appalled at how slow playback is. I've searched around for others experiencing this problem and haven't found very many, is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a solution? I couldn't find anything useful on the HP site (surprise!). Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated, otherwise, I'm going back to 9.5...

If you are working on a Sibel application then read the below post

Re: QTP 10 vs QTP 9.x, Is playback in 10 slow?

I have the same issue parsing large XML docs. The script went from a 2 minute run time to over ten minutes. From what I have heard HP is working on the Siebel issue and I am hoping once the patch is released it will also speed up the XML parsing. All of our other scripts are running just as fast as 9.2 which are all standard web applications.

    Cheers~

Hmm, the Run Mode seems to help, though the execution in Fast mode on 10 is comparable to Normal mode in 9.5 (for me). I used script from another forum by Yaron Assa (see attached) and got the following:

Re: QTP 10 vs QTP 9.x, Is playback in 10 slow?

I actually found a solution for my slow playback, (Thank you NoUse4aName!) I did a complete uninstall using Tarun's uninstall tool and then reinstalled 10.0 and applied the patch QTP_00599 for HP QuickTest Professional 10.00 QFE. I'm guessing something went awry in the upgrade from 9.5 to 10..in any case, my playback time is back to what it was with 9.5, actually a couple seconds faster!
