I am having little problem in using the text checkpoint. I have a script built for the English language and I modified it to use with other languages by fetching all the keywords in other VBS file. However I am facing the problem with text checkoint.
What i did is I took text in other vbs file and reading it depends on the language of the page. But the problem is when the language changes whole page will be translated. I.e. text before and text after. Now to take that you in the file doesn't look good to me..
So is there any way we can put the text checkoint or verify the text regardless of it's dependency on text after and text before.
x = browser.page.object.GetROProperty("text")
y = "whatever text you are expecting to find"
If trim(x) = y Then
Reporter.ReportEvent micPass, "Test Name", "Found '" & " x & "' and expected '" & y
Reporter.ReportEvent micFail, "Test Name", "Found '" & " x & "' but expected '" & y
Once you do this in your code, all you need to worry about is how to get the right expected text in the y variable and you're set.
You can store the value for y in your datatable, you can read it from a file or spreadsheet, you can query it from a DB, whatever you want.
