Validation in QTP on SAP Netweaver Application
I am trying to automate on SAP Netweaver application using QTP. On a screen I have a field called Region and Customer so before I create a Sales Order
I have to check if the customer is from that region. This validation at the back end ususally happens by call of RFC. If the customer is not from the region
i get a message on the screen with a stop symbol. This message is displayed on the application and is not a popup. So could someone please explain how can
i achieve this validation in my script and also handle the message.
Re: Validation in QTP on SAP Netweaver Application
this GuiElement is usually called Statusbar (SAPGuiStatusbar) and it is a child object of SAPGuiSession("Session").SAPGuiWindow("Window").
You can compare the following properties of this object:
messagetype --> S for success, W for warning and E for Error
text --> The string in the Statusbar
You can use GetROProperty method on the statusbar object to read the properties. You can also use the ObjectSpy of QTP to find further details.
