It's been a while since I posted on here, so long I can't remember my original account details!

My team & I are attempting to automate an application that extensively uses the Janus GridEX control for .NET. The choice of tool for us was pre-ordained so we're using QTP and finding problems, specifically that QTP appears to not recognise the Janus tools at all and therefore can't natively interact with them.

It's been a while since I was last involved with automation but remember that WinRunner (yes, it's been THAT long) had the ability to have "hooks" added to the AUT to allow a rudimentary form of control interaction/recognition to occur.

Does anyone have any advice/experience in automating the testing of Janus controls using QTP, or perhaps more generalised advice that we can use to come up with a solution?
