I only want QTP to click the Link "Home" on the page.
The problem that now occures is, that I click "Run" the test but QTP does not do anything. On the right site the state "Running" is shown. When I want to stop the test, nothing happens.
I can't stop the test execution. I need to open the task manager and to kill the QTPro- Process.
Maybe someone can tell me what I can do?
I tried already some reboots and new installations.
Try creating a new script and doing a record and playback on something else.
1. Open IE
2. Navigate to this website via typing it into the address bar (http://www.sqaforums.com/)
3. Place a text checkpoint somewhere
4. Click on the Home button
If this basic test plays back no worries then your install is fine.
You just might have an issue with the mercury tours app or plugins not installed or settings.
If you're still having problems then call your HP rep, thats what they are here for.
I would recommend you to open a service request at HP support. The sooner the better.
I have some experience with them, try to get a WebEX session active with them, I think this way they can assist you faster...
I am having the exact same problem as Page. I was wondering if this problem was sorted out by anyone.
I am new to using qtp and have been having the same problem with 9.2, 9.5 and now 10.
When I record a script for a windows or web based app the recording is going fine. When i run it, it launches the app and then waits indefinitely. Not sure, what's going on. The "running" status is shown but i have to end the app to get rid of the qtp window.
Just a thought, is qtp supposed to work better with IE 8?
I have IE7 running.
Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
