Can\'t Kill QTPro process in task manager
I am encountering an issue where sometimes while running a script on my laptop, QTP stops responding. None of the buttons on the menu bar work. If I try to close the test, it allows me to save the test and then closes the QTP GUI but if I choose not to save the test, QTP GUI will not close. If I go to the task manager and try to kill the QTPro process, only the GUI will close (if it is still open) and the process continues to run. I have to wait for about 10 minutes before the process kills itself. After that, if I continue to run the script, the problem comes back again, but the second time around, after a few minutes, I get a blue error screen (something about pages being locked and an issue with the afd.sys file) and the laptop needs to be rebooted. I am using QTP 9.2. Anybody else seen this issue before?

I have come across something similar with QTP 9.5.
When you go to save something into a directory or folder that does not exist.
OR you try to create a NEW FOLDER from the Save window.
This would cause QTP to sit there for ages then eventually cause us to restart the PC.
Create the folder in windows first.
Then save your script as per normal.
