QTP 9.5 with TestAdvantage 2008 volume 2 Issue
I am having issues with Quick Test Pro 9.5 and Infragistics.
The sample programs provided by infragistics do work. I assume that our problem is that we are likely using the wrong versions, we are using QTP 9.5 with TestAdvantage 2008 volume 2 and developers are using NetAdvantage 2008 volume 2.
The AUT uses .NET 3.5 runtime, I believe the following link states that it doesn’t support .NET above 3.0:
Our current issue is QTP is not recognizing Objects. For example we have the main tool bar for our program at the top. When you attempt to add an object to the repository such as 'File' it adds the entire tool bar instead.
After opening QTP you can record, and it will produce VBScript but with co-ordinates. It is also using the standard Window command rather then the SwfWindow for the .NET interface. To achieve the coordinates after the first 'record' I have to restart the program, or else it records nothing the second time.
Below is an example of the co-ordinate code QTP produces:
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
Window("Traffic Volume Information").WinObject("WindowsForms10.Window.8.a pp.0.").Click 51,12
Window("Traffic Volume Information").WinObject("WindowsForms10.Window.8.a pp.0.").Click 52,24
Window("Traffic Volume Information").WinObject("WindowsForms10.Window.8.a pp.0._2").Click 97,9 </pre><hr />
Re: QTP 9.5 with TestAdvantage 2008 volume 2 Issue
Infragistics Test Advantage is only for Winforms version.
If you're using the web version you're plumb out of luck.
You'll have to Manually add the Infragistics web objects into your own shared repository.
Our developers are using Infragistics Ultraweb grid.
Got hold of Infragistics support and thats what they told us.
QTP 10 has it listed as supported under the .Net addin.
we got hold of our HP rep and a consulting company in AUS called JDS who are partnered with HP.
They also confirmed that Ultraweb grid is only party supported and we'd still have to manually add just about every object manually.
Hope this helps ya.
