Identify changed parameters
The situation is as under(using QTP scripts stored in QC):
Standalone pieces(reusable): Test1, Test2, Test3
New test: TestA
TestA calls Test1, Test2, Test3.
Tested & everything works fine.
Now, the individual pieces are moved around in QC. This results in "Missing Action" under Missing Resources when we open TestA in QTP. This helps us in relinking the pieces. To this extent it is good. The moment we see "Missing Action", we know that a called action has been moved & we can relink it.
My question is, if there is a change in the parameter in the called action/s, how will we know about that?
Re: Identify changed parameters
I am not sure but i guess you only will when your test case fails. The reason being parameters are optional and in case 1 is missing then you won't get an error.
