Automate QTP in continuous integration environment
I work in a small company where the dev happens in a continuous integration environment (we use Cruise Control). What I would like to achieve is to automate QTP scripts to run against the code after each build.
In particular I would like to trigger the script execution based on the build results: the QTP machine has CCTray installed and, therefore, the script should start automatically every time the status of the results of the build is "Successful" (green light).
Off course, I could schedule a simple Windows task: saved the script in VB Script and execute it every, for instance, 8 hours or so.
Any idea or suggestion about the best practice?
Thanks in advance for any reply.
Re: Automate QTP in continuous integration environment
How have you proceeded with this effort? I'm also trying to create a similar setup, and would be interested in what you've done on this.
Here's something you might want to read:
Only high-level guidance is given there, but that should be enough to demonstrate that integration is possible.
