    Did you try recording and see the code generated by QTP?

    Also as it is in tree structure, try giving .set "parent name;child name"

    Re: need help in selecting a child node from drop down

    Find the code when recorded

    Browser().Page().Webedit("admin").set"admin"
    Browser().Page().Webedit("password").set"admin"
    Browser().Page().Link("ilogin").click
    Browser().Page().Link("procedure").click
    Browser().Page().weblist("procedures").select" Allergy"

    Can you tell us, what is the value of "all items" when you spy that weblist.

    You could use my DP generator on the webpage and see what values get detected for the weblist.

    You can get it here:
