Our development team has asked the QA team for an object spying utility which is exactly like QTP's object spy. So that they can enable properties which are currently not seen using object spy to facilitate easier automation.
We do not have enough QTP licenses to install QTP on their machines.
So we gave them UIspy and Spy++. But that doesn't help the developer as it doesnt give the properties for individual objects the way qtp's object does.
Is there an standalone executable of QTP's Object Spy or some similar exe for spying that is similar to object spy.
Strange question anyway. From your question I assume this is a compiled application. Why would developers need to view the properties of an application post compilation? Surley they would just view them in their IDE. Just create a list of properties you would like per object, and give it to them.

Thanks Prince3105. But it looks like that tool will work only on .Net Applications. Will it work on other applications too ?

Yes. Object Spy works for any type of application,
you are working with QTP. [though, how Spy can recognize application's objects - is not the topic of this reply...]
It was developed long before .NET was born.
It was always here as valuable part of the tool.
There is no need to search OpenSource tool for this purpose.
Just learn how to use native QTP's Object Spy.
