call Java API
Is there a way to make a call to Java routine from QTP?
Here is what I need to do:
1) Need to add all the jar and property files to my classpath.
2) Then I need to call the API and get a list from the directory. Following is the code provided by developers to call the API
IDirectoryCommonPublishedServices service = (IDirectoryCommonPublishedServices) CommonDelegate.getInstance().getService("Directory Common");
HelpType ht = service.getHelpType("CurrencyList","USD");
System.out.println("currency code is valid");
System.out.println("currency code USD is not found");
Does anyone know how to execute this in QTP?
Any suggestion is appreciated.
Re: call Java API
QTP is a GUI test tool, so why would you want it to do this?
At the very least, you would have to search for execute java from vbscript, but still feel this is wrong approach.
