Running QuickTest tests on a scheduler
I have script that needs to be run on a daily basis, at out of office hours. The script cannot be run on my personal machine as I must be logged out of it when not in use, instead the plan is to use one of our dedicated scheduling machines to run the test. To do this we'd need to have installed a full copy of QTP on the machine...something that is not possible for us at the moment. Is there anyway to run QuickTest tests without having QTP installed?
I have used Silent Test Runner (supplied with QuickTest) to run scripts in the past, but how can I install this alone, if at all? Is there a QuickTest runtime library available that would enable me to do the same thing?
Any help appreciated!
Re: Running QuickTest tests on a scheduler
QTP must be installed on PC where you want to run scripts. There is no way around this, otherwise licensing would make little sense.
