The above line prints the text of the window fine with out any problems
Now my question is the below code which is supposed to do the same as above fails
It fails with an error saying object doesn't support this property

Just curious, but why do you feel the need to create a Description object for this? You are already able to retrieve the value you are looking for with your code:
You can then use that value in other ways...like
MyText = Window("nativeclass:=xxx").GetROProperty("text")
if MyText = "Whatup?"
maybe i am misunderstanding what you're trying to do...
The description object is just that, a "description" object that describes something else. You would use it this way:
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>msgbox Window(d).GetROProperty("text") [\code]
