    Object Not Visible

I am new to QTP and started by recording a test on sample flight application. But while running i am getting an 'Object Not Visible' error on 'Program Menu' object.

Shortcut for flight application is on the desktop.

Can you please help me in understanding why i am getting this error and how can i solve this.
my machine is running on windows vista.

    Re: Object Not Visible

Object not visible Occurs when QuickTest cannot perform the step because the object specified in the step is not currently visible on the screen. [see qtp guide]

    Re: Object Not Visible

"Object Not Visible" error can occur when QTP is covering the application. Can u try one thing whenever the execution starts just minimize the QTP and check whether it is giving error or not.

The best way to launch windows application is SystemUtil.Run ("exe file path").

    Re: Object Not Visible

This will occur bcoz the application is activated when u pass the control from start>program>qtp>sample application......So if u want to provoke the application always use the mouseover/mouseclick methods on the object .Else its always recommended to activate the application using:

    systemutil/provoke method and many more......
