Can any one please tell me what could be the reason for getting "Unexpected file format" while opening QTP script from QC on Terminal Server & script does open blank.
this happens just suddenly.
is it bz of less disk space avilable ?
Thanks in advance
Any thought on this. do u think QTP might have been corrupted & need to reinstall it, bz it also shows Win32 exception while opening QTpro.exe in debugger window.
which version of QTP you have?
do you have used the original install sources?

It got fixed by cleaning up temp dir & other files on terminal Server.
Thanks for help
I have taken special care to do a clean uninstall of QTP version 8.2 before installing version 9.2 on the PC which is now throwing the "Unexpected file format" Error.
The PC worked fine for about a week after the installation but now I get this error while the same scripts can be opened properly on other PCs.
So I dont think this is related to installation issues.

I had a similar problem and now it has been solved. Still don't know what exactly caused the issue though.
Have you tried to run the QuickTestProfessional.bat file?
