    Regular Expression for the below code

    Status =SwfWindow("sadf").SwfWindow("sadf").WpfWindow("Wp fWindow").WpfTabStrip("wpftypename:=tab").GetROPro perty("selection")

    Now Status will have String like below

    /HC/HC In Doc - XEP 9.0.0 - Preview

    Now when I want to check Status is what i wanted

    the what i am doing is

    If Status="/HC/HC In Doc - XEP [0-9].[0-9].[0-9] - Preview" Then
    msgbox("Suc")
    Else
    msgbox "false"
    End If

    as only the 9.0.0 part has any numeric value i have user the above regular expression
    but when the Status values was "/HC/HC In Doc - XEP 9.1.3 - Preview" it does not seem to work
    what do i do compare the value in the "Status" variable IS ALWAYS IN THE FOLLOWING PATTERN
    /HC/HC In Doc - XEP X.X.X - Preview

    Neither vbScript nor QTP supports the direct use of a regular expression the way you are trying to use them in the above code. Refer to the "regular expression syntax" entry in QTP's online help for examples of the regular expression functions, objects and methods provided by QTP and/or vbScript.
