Recovery scenario vs Error handling?
This may look odd question because I really didn't use the recovery scenario though I am in QTP world for long time doing lot of DP.
Well, so far what I feel is all my errors or unexpected events (exceptions) are handled by my custom code using error handling and somewhat through the conditional statements (IF THEN).
I am really not sure where the recovery scenario fits in to? Is it something more efficient to do? I am using fully DP no record and playback.
Would greatly appreciate if some can share practical scenario and if it's at all feasible please share one working sample.
Thank you in advance.
Re: Recovery scenario vs Error handling?
If your using "IF THEN" statement, then it's not an unexpected error, as you know it might happen. An unexpected error could happen at ANY time during the test (there is an example in help guide).
