    Cannot get data from WebTable

    Hi All,
My script is running over first row of a WebTable and takes the data out of it.but somehow i'm having a problem getting data from specific cell.the cell data says 30%.
i tried to solved it by using ChildItem and GetROProperty.value wich are showing the right value(30%) if i use the spy object but, unfortunatly it didnt help.i'm still getting the string as empty.
anyone have an idea why is that?
    Thanks

Re: Cannot get data from WebTable

Paste the error message. What gets stored in the err.val and err.number. Incase there are many webtables of the same name use the index property. Or it might be the case when you have not entered the right column and row numbers.

Use the below piece of code.

    thisText = objAppPage.WebTable(objDesc).GetCellData(thisRowNo ,thisColNo)

Re: Cannot get data from WebTable

    O.k friends
i kind of understand my kistake.
this piece code solved the riddle.\

    Browser("Babylon").Page("BabylonOrderForm").WebTab le("AddIns").WebElement("DiscountField").WebEdit(" TheDiscount").GetROProperty("value")

the value is sitting inside WebEdit that is inside WebElement that is inside the original table i looked it for.so, now i'm getting the right value i searched but it activate the smart identification mechanism in order to get the value.
do you know any UniqueID i can use in order to get the value i need without using smart identification?
    Thanks

Re: Cannot get data from WebTable

The unique id needs to be in your application, not generated by QTP.

Look under tools/object identification then configure smart ident. You will see what properties it uses for each object.
