    Unable to create function library as VBS file

    Hi,

    I'm unable to save a function library with a .vbs extension. When I try to save my function library - I get the following error - "General Error while saving the function library". Can someone please let me know what could be my mistake?

    thanks,
    Nandini

    Re: Unable to create function library as VBS file

    Hi,

    I first tried to create a new function library - file -> new function library.
    Then I used the Function generator -
    Entered name and the parameters
    And added the required code to the Function.
    I now tried to save my function as - "Funcion_Library.vbs". This is when I'm getting the General error.

    Here is a part of the code
    Public Function test_function(ByRef dy, ByRef mon, ByRef yr)
    If ((yr mod 4) = 0) Then
    dy = 1
    mon = 3
    End If
    End Function

    Thanks,
    Nandini

    Re: Unable to create function library as VBS file

    I don't see any general error while saving the function library as .vbs file. This looks strange to me.

    Make sure you are manually able to create the VBS file on the system

    Re: Unable to create function library as VBS file

    As Tarun said, Alternate solution you can try is

    - Open Notepad
    - Copy your code into the Notepad
    - Save your Notepad file by giving .vbs extension or save it "Test.vbs". Remember to give quotes other wise it will simply be a text file.
    - Try executing the above .vbs file in your script

    Hope this helps!
    Thanks,
    - ketan.

    Re: Unable to create function library as VBS file

    Are you using double quotes as well when saving? If yes then it is causing the error to occur

    Use Funcion_Library.vbs and not "Funcion_Library.vbs"

    Re: Unable to create function library as VBS file

    Hi,

    I was using double quotes around the file name while saving the file. And that was causing the problem.

    Thanks Tarun for all you help!
