I'm encountering a problem with QTP 9.5. We just upgraded to the latest version and I'm experiencing something I never found before.
1. I launch QTP
2. Web / .NET licenses ticked on
3. Start recording
As soon as the applciation opens up the browser (Google) an erro message comes up : "The Browser Application can't be launched. Possibly the URL is wrong." (that is not the case BTW).
Have any of yopu encounter the same issue? Any solution? Thanks.
Some additional information I forgot to add.
OS: Vista SP1
DEP: On except for IE and QTP.
I also got same problem and then I installed QTP9.2 version. I think you can revisit QTP and OS versions compatibility (refer QTP readme file for the same).

Thank you for your reply. What do you mean by "revisit"? What did you do when this problem happened to you?
I also use QTP 9.5 to execute my scripts on Windows Vista but never faced this kind of problem.
Can you paste the chunck of code which is giving you the error?
I feel the problem with OS VISTA 16 bit and QTP9.5 versions...please cross check in HP website for same.
well, it is not a code error but simply a error in a window. I'm scared this will be one of those never ending issues.
Just check which option is selected in Automation menu -> Record and Run settings in Web Tab...
I guess the second option is selected and the URL provided there is not valid.
Thanks and Regards,
I wish it could be that the proble, bu unfortunatelly is not that simple. I was thinkng about the options you can find in
Tools> Options> Web(Tab);
Any suggestion or idea about these boxes present here?
There is an "Advanced" and one "Page/Frame Options" buttons. Anytghing that needs to be change here?
Nothing to do with the Options. It may be something else related to Installation/Compatibility errors. I faced similar kind of weird issues with 9.5.
Have you communicated with HP?
Did you try the same in some other machine?
