I recently installed QTP 9.5 on my Test Server.
Install went well, But I can't seem to start QTP via the remote desktop.
I can start QTP from the server.
It was installed with a seat license.
Post the error message(s) and screen shot when you get this failure, because this description seems very improbable.
Logging on directly to a PC with QTP installed via a hard wired monitor is no different than logging into that PC via RDP. The application you want to start (QTP) can't tell the difference.
Make sure you aren't having problems with other applications loaded on your test PC as well.
QTP installed on servers requires concurrent license software & licenses installed. Usually when you try to install the seat license on a server you will get an error 92 message.

We ran into an issue with RDP, as QTP would lock up. We swithced to VNC and have had no issues since
Patience is like bread I say.... I ran out of that yesterday.
Please read your license agreement with respect to the use of remote desktop and QTP. You may be in for some nasty surprises if the vendor were to audit your use and behavior.
