QTP 9.5 does not seem to like the asterisk key in my numeric keypad very much.
I can use the key here: *
I can use the key in Word, Excel, Notepad, etc.
I can even use it in QTP in the Object Repository, say if I am editing an object's property.
But I cannot use this key in the script editor or in the datatable in QTP.
Whenever I need an asterisk, I must use SHIFT+8, they other one in the numeric keypad is not an option.
I checked my key bindings in the Tools/View Options menu to see if I somehow got some invisible feature, like Copy or Cut, bound to this key, but nothing listed in this panel is bound to it.
"The last 10% of any software project will take 90% of the budgeted time. The first 90% will take the other 90%"
I don't have QTP up, but for the data table have you tried putting an apostrophe in front '*
Patience is like bread I say.... I ran out of that yesterday.
I do that with numbers that start with a zero, or numbers so long that they convert to exponential notation.
But taking your advice, I tried it, to no avail.
Still cannot use the num-pad * key in the datatable, apostrophe or not.
