A first impression of QTP 10

    Hey guys.
I attended a live demo of QTP 10. Here are my impressions.

Re: A first impression of QTP 10

I personally liked the source control features ... QTP somehow should "shed" the notion of "quick" and "dirty" easy code paradigm... HP should pursue "programmer friendly" features..

Enough of selling to executives and managers who do not understand technical things behind the screens.

Debugging improvements should be happen ...
Code should be editable (in functions too) when debugging and one should be able move back in debugging to previous statements. Compuware TestPartner supports these features since long back ...

Nice updates on QTP10... Yaron .. thanks

Dear god, I can't believe they STILL don't support intellisense with VBSCRIPT classes - that for me is a MAJOR, MAJOR lacking of features. At this point in time, it's quite retarded that it still does not exist.

And I'm sure they still don't suppose multiple monitors. Also retarded.

Hear, hear. And while their at it, how about a way to report the calling function/line number during execution? I've implemented a 100% DP Framework and have scrapped the Reporter and built my own. It would be nice to be able to see in my results where a failure occurred. If someone knows how to do this in QTP 9 please share.

I was browsing through this forum around a few months back.
One of our members signature line took me to his company website.
Unfortunately, I do not remember the member or the company website. However, I do remember that the product offerred by this company did offer some intellisense like capability to QTP!
Can anyone shed any light to my incomplete information!

I don't know who or which company you are talking of, but Tarun has an application for the same task on his website - www.knowledgeinbox.com
