    Browser doesnot accept description

    Hi All,

    I am not using any repository at all.

    Scenario 1
    If i use description of the object in Browser like

    Browser("title:=.*" ).Page("title:=.*").Link("name:=Advanced", "outerhtml:=<A class=sshref.*").Click

    , I get the following error:

    Error:
    Cannot find the "[ Link ]" object's parent "[ Browser ]" (class Browser). Verify that parent properties match an object currently displayed in your application.

    Scenario 2
    But if I give hardcoded value like
    Browser("title:=Application Title Hardcoded" ).Page("title:=.*").Link("name:=Advanced", "outerhtml:=<A class=sshref.*").Click

    it throws no error.

    1) What is the logic behind this?
    2) Why is it that Browser doesnot accept description while Page accepts description?

    Appreciate your help in this.

    Re: Browser doesnot accept description

    I'm not sure why it wouldn't but give a try with this
    Browser("micclass:=Browser")

    Also see if removing the extra space helps
    Browser("title:=.*")

    Re: Browser doesnot accept description

    Make sure first one gives True and next one highlights the correct browser

    Msgbox Browser("title:=.*").Exist(0)
    Browser("title:=.*").Highlight

    Make sure that you close all other browser instances.
