    Rx JavaObject : GlassMouseGrabProvider$Proxy

I am using QTP 9.2 and scripting an Oracle web app.

I can record objects fine. But when I go back later to Spy on an object, on the webpage, that is already in my Object Repository it gives me this:

    JavaObject : GlassMouseGrabProvider$Proxy

I need to know what the Oracle object's properties are.

It is a checkmark field and my script needs to verify that it is unchecked, so I wanted to use GetROProperty. But I am not sure what code to use since I can’t get the Spy tool to work properly.

Here is the code I have so far:

    ‘**********************************

    Dim CkMrk
    CkMrk = OracleFormWindow("Rga Header").OracleCheckbox("CTB Reviewed").GetROProperty ("disabled")
    msgbox CkMrk

    If CkMrk = True Then
Reporter.ReportEvent micPass, "CheckMark check = PASS", "The CTB checkmark field is blank, as expected."
    Else
Reporter.ReportEvent micFail, "CheckMark check = FAIL", "The CTB checkmark field is not blank. It has a checkmark."
    End If

    ‘**************************************

    I have also tried:

    ‘**************************************

    Dim CkMrk
    If (OracleFormWindow("Rga Header").OracleCheckbox("CTB Reviewed").GetROProperty ("disabled") = "True") Then
Reporter.ReportEvent micPass, "CheckMark check = PASS", "The CTB checkmark field is blank, as expected."
    Else
Reporter.ReportEvent micFail, "CheckMark check = FAIL", "The CTB checkmark field is not blank. It has a checkmark."
    End If

    ‘***************************************

Neither work and my msgbox comes back blank.

I have tried these other GetROProperties:

    ("value")
    ("hwnd")

"Value" comes back as blank, "hwnd" always comes back as "0" no matter if the box is checkmarked or not.

    Any help would be appreciated!

PS I did find a website on this topic, but it wasn’t much help:

Has anyone else seen this or am I goin' crazy?!

    Re: Rx JavaObject : GlassMouseGrabProvider$Proxy

    I just found this site.

    http://74.125.45.104/search?q=cache:juu2...;cd=9&gl=us

    I might try:

    1. Closing QTP and relaunching it to see if I can get my Object Spy to correctly identify the Oracle object using my Orcale Add-In.

    -OR-

    2. Reboot my computer then launch QTP.

I'll post in here what I find.

    Re: Rx JavaObject : GlassMouseGrabProvider$Proxy

The computer reboot didn't help. I still have the same problem as before.

I also verified that I have the Oracle add-in loaded and I do not have the Java add-in loaded.

    Any ideas?????

    Re: Rx JavaObject : GlassMouseGrabProvider$Proxy

    This has now been resolved:

    http://forums12.itrc.hp.com/service/...readId=1256778

I needed to pass on the GetROProperties and just use VerifyCleared instead.

Here is the code that now works:

    '***************************

    If (OracleFormWindow("Rga Header").OracleCheckbox("CTB Reviewed").VerifyCleared = "True") Then
Reporter.ReportEvent micPass, "CheckMark check = PASS", "The CTB checkmark field is blank, as expected."
    Else
Reporter.ReportEvent micFail, "CheckMark check = FAIL", "The CTB checkmark field is not blank. It has a checkmark."
    End If

    '*************************

I really hope this can help someone here ;0)

    Re: Rx JavaObject : GlassMouseGrabProvider$Proxy

By the way, this only resolved my checkmark issue, but it didn't resolve the issue as to why my Object Spy is still seeing my Oracle object as some kind of funky Java object.

    That still remains a mystery!
