QTP does not recognise JTABLE col names

    Hi All,

I am having an odd problem with QTP. I would be thankful if any of you would be able to help me on this.

I recorded actions on JTABLE in QTP and it(QTP) was able to identify the column names in the JTABLE.

Using the column names I was able to retrieve the values in the cols.

But today I noticed all of a sudden QTP is unable to recognise the column names and identifies only the JTABLE and the columns are recognised as JavaObjects.

Can anyone pls tell me why it is happening and a possible solution for it....

    Thanks,
    Meg

The developers of your application might have changed something. Check with them

You could have an issue with your java plug in - can you record against any other java apps?

No. We checked with the dev team. Theres no change to teh application. The script was working fine for many days. All of a sudden I start seeing this problem.

When I checked using Table checkpoints the TAble column names are displayed as Java.swing.JButton.

Now theres no JButton object in the entire panel...

Its really funny. Can someone please help me out with a possible solution. I tried with HP support and they too are unable to help with an appropriate resolution.

    Thanks,
    Meg

This is just a stab in the dark but if you are using version 9.2 you can run the QuickTestProfessional.bat file located at C:\Program Files\Mercury Interactive\QuickTest Professional\bin to re-register the dll's. Just a thought.
    Onward thru the fog...
