    custom dialog issue

    Hi,

    I made a custom dialog which is launched at then beginning of my script. I create an html file which contains my custom dialog, and I call it this way:
    <font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre> Set objExplorer = CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application")

    objExplorer.Navigate "file:///c:\test.htm" </pre><hr />

    In test.htm, I have three checkboxes, and I'm using an "hidden" input to check which checkboxe has been choosen when the user click on the "OK" button.

    In my script, I do this to know when my "hidden" input gets a value:
    <font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
    Do While (objExplorer.Document.All.ButtonClicked.Value = "")
    wait 0,1
    Loop
    </pre><hr />

    my problem is that it turns to an infinite loop, until I authorize the blocked content in my browser.

    Is there a way to authorized blocked content in my browser by using vbscript?

    I put a screenshot in attachment for easier understanding.

    Thank you very much for your help.

    ps: I'm using IE 6.0

    Re: custom dialog issue

    You need to change the security settings to disable it...

    Re: custom dialog issue

    Thanks Tarun,

    I know that, but I don't know how to do it...

    I found a forum where someone used the registry keys to do it, like this:
    <font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
    LockDown="HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\In ternet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_LOCALMACHINE_ LOCKDOWN\"
    Keysec1=LockDown &amp; "iexplore.exe"
    Oldvalue1=shell.RegRead(Keysec1)
    If Err.Number&lt;&gt;0 Then
    Err.Clear
    Oldvalue1=1
    End If
    shell.RegWrite Keysec1,0,"REG_DWORD"
    </pre><hr />

    But it doesn't work for me...

    If someone has any idea, please suggest me. Thanks for your help.

    Re: custom dialog issue

    Disable this Option.

    Internet Options -&gt;Security -&gt; Custom Level - &gt;Miscellaneous -&gt;Allow Web pages to use restricted protocols for Active content

    I hope this will solve your problem

    Re: custom dialog issue

    Thank you for your help Chandu,

    but it's not what I was asking for. I want to do it in my script, because I have a lot of users and don't want to modify IE settings on each pc.

    Thanks anyway

    one way can be to record the actions as told by Chandu in QTP and call these steps before running the active content

    Re: custom dialog issue

    Dowload trial version of regsnap (registry snapshot). Take a registry snapshot with security setting enabled. Disable security setting and take another snapshot and compare the snapshots. The s/w will allow you to take snapshots and compare them. There is an option that will allow you to see the registry key that was changed and the values before and after.

    Now use the code that you mentioned in you earlier post to change the registry code through vbscript
