method to monitor resource usage
I'm being told by my team that they do not have the machine bandwidth to add on another project, although I know for certain that we are not utilizing near our capacity of Hosts or vUsers. I can see this in the canned reports out of Performance Center in a limiteed manner, but it would be great to show resource consumption across a timeline like MS project does. I do not see anything out of the box, has anyone done anything like this?
I'm sure I can harvest the data I want from test runs, I'm just trying to figure out how to visually show it. Thanks!
I did find an interesting answer to this that I'll share. Using the test run data extracted from the test lab, I'm able to create a timeline to show machine utilization using Google charts. It is a little quirky as far as the legend goes, but the graph gives me a great visual to show my server usage. The URL for Google charts is https://developers.google.com/chart/...ive/docs/index, and I'm attaching a picture of my 5 hosts and the projects that are utilizing them.
