How run dos_system() command, without pause
I have very large problem. My test run "test.bat" by dos_system() command. "test.bat" - run TCL script, TCL - open Excel in showmode and make some operation in excel online. After that, TCL write "Pass/Fail" to control file, close Excel, close DOS-window and WR search for control file and continue test. But some time MS excel return error and stop the test. A problem, in this time WR not "in action" and I cann't close excel error window.
A part after:dos_system(BatFile) not work immediately
# Run batch file
# Wait until file is created or timeout will expired
while (rc!=E_OK && counter < 20)
Re: How run dos_system() command, without pause
You could start test.bat using invoke_application().
If you do so WR will not wait until test.bat is completed, so you will have to add your synchronization manually.
Or your test.bat starts the TCL script with the DOS command "start". In this case you can also use dos_system to run test.bat, but you would still have to add your synchronization.
