Im running Winrunner 8.2 and testing a Java App. on a virtual environment.
The problem im having is as follows -
Winrunner opens the app. using the invoke_application command.
A startup window is displayed with a logon button.
I use win_set and button_push to select this button.
These windows and objects are correctly entered in my global GUI map, however when the logon button is selected and the new logon window is displayed, it is distorted.
ie. the outline of the window is displayed, but the username text field and password textfield in the window do not display properly.
Winrunner also times out on this button_press commmand.
Note - when i select the logon button manually, the logon window is displayed perfectly with 2 fields.
My GUI map looks good, as ive remapped all windows and objects.
Also, ive used the win activate, and win_set commands prior to using the button_push.
Well, considering WinRunner isn't supported in virtual environments, have you tried it on a true system to see if it application or environment related?
The only other time I have seen an issue close to what you describe was when I was running WinRunner on a laptop configuration. The font setup caused issues on the graphics card. If you are running on a laptop let me know and I'll try to dig up the information as I had posted it in the User KB on the main Mercury Site, but now that HP has taken over I am sure it is gone forever.
I didnt realise that Winrunner isnt supported in Virtual environments. Unfortunately, I have to use the virtual environment as its the companys policy to lockdown actual environments, not allowing any installations.
