    Is Winrunner dying???

Folks, I see only QTP posts when I see the Active topics, and dont see any WR topics in the first page, unless once in a blue moon.

Is this is the begining (might have started a year earlier) of the end?

    Re: Is Winrunner dying???

100 years hence, someone will be posting/texting a WR question here. It will look like this:

Plz hp. I cannot get WR to install. It sez disk full.
I have WIN-VISTA 3K installed and it iz using all of my 2 Terabyte hard disk. What shud I do?

    Re: Is Winrunner dying???

I think one of the reasons you see fewer WinRunner posts is because most NEW automation users are going with QTP rather than WinRunner. This means fewer "newbies" asking a lot of the questions you see in the QTP forum.

As time goes on, more and more people shift away from WinRunner and over to QTP (party from choice, partly because of lack of support). In the end, I think most of your WinRunner users who are still around have been using the tool long enough to answer their own questions.

Don't expect WinRunner to go away, but the user base (while still huge) is shrinking.
