WinRunner 8.0 was installed on this computer which is exhibiting the problem and WinRunner 8.0 functioned just fine)
You may have either a faulty installation or a defect which can only be resolved by HP support.
If, on the other hand, you changed a bunch of items at once and their is no track record of WinRunner ever having worked successfully on the computer in question, then you will likely need to back out the changes one at a time until you get to your previous "known good" state to see what the source of the conflict may be.
ya y not.actually only vb obj were not getting recognized.i had to go thru the readme file of wr 8.2 under Support for Visual Basic i got the solution ADD_INDEX_2_VBNAME=FALSE to the [WrCfg] section of the wrun.ini file.
