Hi, Im new to these forums and I have found a lot of useful comments here, I think its a great source of information.
My current problem is the following: im trying to record a testcase that includes some dynamic objects that are not being identified by Winrunner. Sorry, not just identified: the GUI spy is completly blind to these buttons, its like if they weren't there.
Im using WR 8.2 and Windows XP SP2. The browser Im using is IE.
The code of the button is the following:
<DIV id=menuArea xmlns:i18n="http://apache.org/cocoon/i18n/2.1">
<LI><A id=tabEventHome title=Home
we have tried to add some text before the "</A>" and it worked, the GUI spy was able to find the object and get its properties.
The thing is that there is a link there, and it works. Just because there is no image nor text there it doesn't mean it isn't an object. Im sorry if this looks like an angry answer, but it is quite frustrating. Now the whole site should be redesigned to make it WR friendly lol
I don't understand why wasn't this option contemplated in the first place
btw, WR is not recognizing the scroll bar and I can't seem to use the scroll_max or scroll_min commands without having the object on the GUI map. Do you know how can I get that object into the GUI map? I will have to use the scrollbar if I want to use virtual objects over these link buttons
