I am currently using WinRunner 8.0 in the Windows Server 2003 environment.
I created a GUI Map for an application I am currently testing. I used the GUI Map Editor to learn all of the objects within the application window. After I used the <Learn> command, I could double-click on the various object titles in the GUI Map, and the associated object would be located on the application.
However, without closing the GUI Map Editor, I close the application and reopen it to the same window. Now, the GUI Map Editor says, "Object not found. Cannot Highlight". Is this a problem with the application I am testing, or WinRunner? Are there any acceptable workarounds?
If more information is needed to analyze this problem, please let me know.
Try to compare the Window Logical name / Label of the Object in the GUI map editor.
The label of the Window / Object may be changing everytime,
That may be the problem because of which Winrunner is unable to recognize the windows..
If that is the reason try to use Regular Expressions in the Winrunner GUI file for the label.
