I have a html_listbox wherein I need to read the value for the tag 'value' for each and every list item from the html source. I have looked up all the functions related to web_obj_* or list_* and have been unsuccessful in finding one that does this. Can someone please point me to a WR function that might capture this if they have come across one or please provide me with any pointers on handling the below scenario?
Currently I am capturing all the items(say 20) with the listbox in my script, and I get a range of values(say 5) that are the actual 'value' for list items as test inputs, what I need to do is select the item with my test inputs ('value') on UI
I have tried using inner_html and am able to retrieve the option tag from the html source, the only problem being the text is being truncated at 1023 chars. I have read the other active thread on max variable size and recollect that some functions have defined size for the out values. Is there a way I could read the entire text with 'web_obj_get_info' function on 'innner_html' property i.e. increment the size for the out variable?
I still am not able to retrieve the entire text from 'inner_html' property using web_obj_get_info() on a html_listbox class. The value being returned is partial text equalling 1023 bytes whereas the actual text is way larger than that. Any suggestions on a workaround for this?
Created a workaround--
I couldnt get "inner_html" to retrieve more than 1K in size. I had opened a ticket with HP and was told the R&D team is trying to fix the bug as currently the size of the return variable cannot be incremented for the function. Anyways I created a workaround at my end where in dev provides the list of all items on a list item and from my test inputs I parse through the selections and de-selections.
Thanks for the responses!
